(as the patient),

The reception staff and midwives at east surrey obstetrics and gynaecology outpatients department were all very friendly and had possitive attitudes as well being pofessional when under pressure by the amount of work which had to be done.

When some people waiting to be seen had bad attitudes towards the staff they were professional and very polite, not reacting badly towards them but with kindness and care as well making sure we were all as comfortable as we could be while waiting.

Great staff and they have made the whole experience of having a baby and the appointments wonderful, they are all very supportive and understanding as well as always giving the very best care they can.

Dear Babymama1st

Thank you for your kind and supportive comments, I will ensure that the staff in the unit see these.

We do know that the antenatal clinic can be overcrowded at times and do understand how this can be uncomfortable. We are looking for an alternative location for the clinic and also how we can reduce the numbers attending at any one time. This will take a little while to acheive and in the meantime we are reliant upon the professional caring attitude of our staff and the understanding of the ladies and partners attending.

I wish you every happiness as your pregnancy progresses so that you can look forward to welcoming your new family member.

Please do not hesitate to let us know the things we can do to improve our service as well as the good things.
