Unexpected course!

About: Mansfield Woodhouse Children's Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

I am attending a 5 week course on Sewing/Upcycling through the Children's Centre at Woodhouse. The course was due to start last Friday 27th Feb.

Unfortunately the external course tutor was unable to attend at the last minute and there was no time to inform the parents attending the course.

Rather than waiting for us to arrive and then sending us away with no course and disappointment, the Children's Centre staff went (I feel) above and beyond by arranging a different activity and Carol, the Centre Manager, took the group.

Carol had collated all her craft materials and made sample cards on Thursday night so that we could be shown how to make hand crafted cards.

I would like to say thank you to the staff for thinking of an alternative course for us to do and a special thank you to Carol for her preparation efforts and her teaching skills.

I found the group very helpful and have taken away some great ideas.

Thank you for sharing your appreciation and positive comments about your "unexpected course". On occasions, activities and courses don't always go as planned and it is good to hear that Carol and her team did everything they could to ensure that those attending were not disappointed.
