My grandfather was recently admitted into PAH and was put in the EAU where the staff were amazing. He was in there for less than 48 hours as he was extremely ill, the doctors didn’t think he would last the night. The staff it the ward were wonderful and made the whole process more bearable. They gave the whole family space and somewhere to stay though the day and night and insured he was never alone so that the family could take a break and get food as need. They even brought tea to his bed side when we didn’t want to leave. We honestly feel as a family that if it wasn’t for the care and compassion of the staff he wouldn’t have got the dignified, peacefully, painless ending surrounded by his loved ones that he deserved and for that we will be eternally grateful to all the staff that helped.
