"uncaring, uncooperative and belittling"

About: Wansbeck Hospital

I was unable to speak properly and when I motioned for a pen and paper to write with I was refused, I was left unable to raise the attention of a nurse as buzzer was out of reach, I asked for a drink of water and I'm still waiting for it and the doctoral staff where belittling and because I was refused writing materials I couldn't explain what was/had gone on. Once id regained enough control of my limbs I left.

Dear Tony, Thank you for this. Would you mind getting in touch with me directly via email: annie.laverty@nhct.nhs.uk The concerns you raise are serious ones and I am extremely sorry that this was your experience in A&E. I'm struggling to understand why staff would leave you without a means of communicating or refuse to respond to your requests for a drink. It is important that we get to the bottom of exactly what happened. Thank you very much for working with us on this. I do hope you are feeling a lot better now. With best wishes, Annie
