"A visitor impressed by G1 ward in York Hospital"

I was visiting York with my pregnant daughter-in-law when she was taken ill.

Having spent long night time hours in A&E we were asked to return to G1 at 8.00am for scans. The welcome and treatment of us was exemplary. The attitude of staff was outstanding and the ethos of the unit warm and confidence inspiring!

Unfortunately the visit was marred by having to wait several hours for blood test results. This was not of course the fault of that unit.
