"Two Reviews (1)"

About: Colchester General Hospital

My mother was in AEU with kidney failure and bleeding internally. The care she received by the staff was First Class. The consultant and the staff treated my mother, 85 years old at the time, as though she was their grandmother with all the respect and dignity befitting her age. My mother and other patients I saw in their care were given 100% attention. I must admit I was surprised at the level of attention everyone received. The words Thank You do not seem enough - Thank You for giving my mother back to me. She still sings your praises. I am sorry as I should have written this at the time - you deserved this review.

Many thanks for your comments and taking the time to submit them. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. I would like to send your comments to the staff concerned, could you email me, using the reference “+ve Comment on Accident and emergency services 28/02/2015 05:43:01”, please so we can pass on your good wishes? We have a quarterly At Our Best Awards scheme which recognises staff achievements and thanks them for what they do. It has a team category, an individual and a volunteer category. You could enter the team/the person you were kind enough to write in about, by clicking here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/At_Our_Best_Awards Many thanks Paul Searle, Head of Communications Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk
