Dear Hyten

Thank you for your feedback.

The referral pathway for Pain Management changed during 2014 with support from the local hospitals and is based on best clinical evidence.

The Pain Management Solution service assesses all patients who meet the agreed referral criteria and treat accordingly. The Pain Management Service provides spinal injections if appropriate.

If Pain Management Solutions identify any patients who they are unable to treat then TRAQS are asked to redirect to an appropriate hospital service.

The new process has been agreed by a panel including the consultants who manage the pain management service at the local hospitals.

I am sure you can appreciate that TRAQS are following an agreed pathway which has been developed by qualified clinicians within the NHS and these decisions are not made by administrative staff.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with the team
