Following on from my complaint regarding the wait for my Dad's surgery on an 'urgent' aortic aneurism (posted Jan 2015). After 4 times getting worked-up and stressing about having to go into hospital and then 4 times let down.....he finally got admitted on the 3rd of February.. He died in surgery. His funeral took place on the 20th. I suppose we should be grateful the NHS weren't organising the burial - he'd still be waiting. PS I received a so-called reply to my last review - a request to phone the 'Patient Advice and Liason Service', and - guess what? All their lines are busy and if I wait they'll ring me back.....Still waiting. God bless you Dad - waiting no more. R.I.P.
