" Hoping to stay at the Wicker clinic"

About: Guernsey House / Primary care addiction service (Wicker clinic)

(as the patient),

I had left prison on Wednesday and had an appointment by Saturday at the Wicker Clinic. This is the best bit about it. Last time it took 8 weeks. My worker Louise is the best I have had; I get seen really quickly at the Wicker and don’t have to meet up with people who are not good influences on me. I am planning to do my GCSE’s. This will be full time and I hope I will be able to stay at the Wicker as this will make attending college easier.

Thank you for this posting, the Wicker clinic was set up with the intention of working with service users who have been released from prison and need to access services quickly to maintain their treatment.

We are pleased this was your experience and that you have found the environment useful in managing influences upon you.

We will pass on your comments on to Louise at our next staff meeting. Lastly I would like you to know that Guernsey House also runs a late clinic on a wednesday until 7pm for service users who are busy during the day.
