Thought staff stated for granddaughter to arrive when contractions were every minute. arrived to stern faces from sister and midwives stating you should of rang first, it's a good job we have a bed!
Left in a room, student took observations. Denied gas and air stating have paracetamol, all in all denied pain killers stating they needed to examine my daughter, no conversation at all, no reassurance, staff cold as ice.
Student was submissive, I begged them to answer her pleas for pain releif! Nothing, as if I wasn't there!
This is her 3rd baby, after the birth my daughter was so upset she could not look at the baby. I work for the NHS so know how staff should be. The senior nurse was very patronising, the morning staff came on duty and ... Well, they were fantastic! ! So different,
I now cannot watch any birthing programmes as it brings it all back to me and this is 2 years on! ! Shame on them!
