"I had to visit the A&E department due to loss of..."

About: Hillingdon Hospital

I had to visit the A&E department due to loss of blood and the Staff were extremely kind and efficient. Seeing an assessing Nurse and having necessary tests done, before being seen by the Doctor made it a much more streamline visit. The Staff I saw were considerate and treated me with dignity at all times and keeping me up to date with what was happening. The Doctor I saw was very thorough and was even interested enough to read my home medical file I take with me as my condition is rare. He also contacted the relevant department to discuss my case and good advice was given. Having had to attend A&E in the past...this experience was definitely an improvement

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that you found the service in our staff in the Accident and Emergency Department to be considerate and that you were treated with dignity and respect. We recognise that attending the emergency department can be distressing and appreciate how important it is to ensure that patients are kept up to date with information. We will pass your comments on to the department concerned.
