"my husbands none diagnoses of lung cancer till it was far to late"

About: Good Hope Hospital / General surgery

(as a relative),

my husband was in and out of good hope with emphasema and chest infections for three years prior to him being told he had lung cancer plus secondary cancer in his liver, bones, and spleen in October 2013 he died in dec 2013. the last time he was taken to a and e was in august 2013 with a chest infection, nose bleeds and very bad pain in his right shoulder and back then started bring up blood when the nurse came back we told he was bring up blood but nothing was done he was just sent home again with antibiotics and steroids then he got a routine appointment to see his chest doctor. dr petkova who said she would make appointment for a scan on his bronchal tubes which he had in early October. when he had the scan the nurses asked the radiographer doctor to come down and have a look at his scan and he did another one on his lungs and could not believe we did not know what he had. but we still had to wait three weeks for the results at the end of October to be told that nothing could be done. so you can imagine I and my family are very angry with good hope and our family gp. we did go and see our dr and after looking into my husbands treatment both with him and the hospital he apologized and my husband fell through the cracks
