"The carers group felt that their voices had been heard"

About: Highbury Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

The Highbury Carer group had raised concerns about the lack of facilites for carers to spend time with their loved ones away from the ward. The cafe closes at 2. 30pm. They were pleased to hear that a new cafe will soon be opening on the Highbury site and may provide better opening times, particularly evenings and at weekends. This development was very much welcolmed and the group felt that their voices had been heard.

Dear Kimna7. thank-you for your feedback and to the Highbury Carers group in raising this to us.

We had recognised this was an issue for our patients and visitors at Highbury so we are really pleased that we will be able to offer the facility in the future. It is really important that people let us know their views so we can make sure peoples experiences of our services are positive. thank-you

regards

Jane Marlow Operational Manager
