"Hospital stay in CCU"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

I was admitted to Royal Bolton Hospital in Mid December, with heart failure. I was seen quickly in A&E and quite quickly ended up on an assessment ward and then onto CCU, where I spent approximately just over a week. The staff on CCU, especially the Nursing staff and in particular the staff nurses were a credit to the hospital I was extremely anxious and probably quite frightened. I expected a high quality of care, which I received, but what pleased me the most was the high level of compassion and warmth shown towards me by the staff, and I wish to commend them for this. They were very understanding and put me at ease. It made my stay as comfortable as was possible. Thank you CCU.

It is fully understandable that you were anxious and frightened, but we're so pleased that you received not only high quality care but also compassion and warmth. We're very proud of our coronary care unit, and appreciate your commendation. We wish you well in your continued recovery.
