"Whittington A and E and Coyle Ward"

I attended the Emergency Dept at the Whittington hospital where my care was patchy to say the least. I have a complicated past medical history and attempted to explain my circumstances on numerous occasions with the exception of a urology registrar nobody seemed to have the time or inclination to take on board this information. Whilst in ED my pain was not adequately controlled this is totally unacceptable when you consider I was in the dept for around 12 hours. Despite being diagnosed with severe constipation and in onvious agony the ED doctor tried to discharge me I had to telephone the site manager to get them to treat the constipation and administer pain relief, On Coyle ward I found the staff to be generally caring and attentive, however, the hygene on the ward is nothing short of atrocious the cleanliness of the toilet was spalling and having bed curtains covered in dry vomit is beyond the oale. All in all this institution could do so much better.
