"Waited several months for appointment"

About: Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

Was referred to the Mental Health service over a year ago because I was suicidal - but took several weeks to be seen to assess whether or not I was in danger. Then when they decided I wasn't in imminent danger I had to wait several months for an appointment at which I was offered a choice of therapies as I couldn't have both for "financial reasons".

Since then my GP has referred me back but each time nobody seems to know why they are seeing me and all you get offered is a 6 week course when the tablets alone take weeks to kick in. They seem to me more interested in pigeon-holing me and slotting me in to whatever is least subscribed that week.
