"communication difficulties at Manchester Royal"

Have you ever tried getting through on the phone to Manchester Royal infirmary. The number I was given was 0161 276 1234.It rings forever no one ever answers it, is there anyone at the end of the line? Is there a number we can speak to someone. I tried for an hour. 0915 - 1020

I questioned myself. Perhaps they are very busy.

Unfortunately for the Hospital I was there the day before, at the eye hospital part. When I came to the reception counter - no one was there, no one was answering calls. No one was dealing with the queues of eight people being booked in for their appointment. Eventually someone came all sullen and begrudging, in between looking at their watch and snarling they managed to tell me to go to another counter; this was the wrong one, apparently the letter I had received was not correct.

Now, in my opinion, all the money spent on the magnificent building is a complete and utter waste if this service suffers. Treatment and service before décor. It may look good for the press but to me it doesn't appear good for the patients.
