"Short Stay Unit - Pinderfields"

I found the nurses very kind and considerate for how few of them there were. After 12 days I saw how nurses were pushed to their limit without breaks, patients with no medical problems (just social) blocking beds. There were 4 wandering patients, some very unstable, who kept the nurses busy trying to stop them from falling.

The short stay unit at Pinderfields needs better cleaning and more nursing staff. A doctor upset me over trying to get a needle into veins after they had collapsed after many tries.

I really hope I do not have to go back as the lack of sleep made me feel iller than I was. I would like to thank all the nursing staff at the short stay unit.
