Had a really bad experience waiting for 1h 45 min to see a specialist after an operation in Orthopedic clinic. My 9 year old son happened to be with me. There were old people and people with children also waiting to be seen. After 45 min of waiting one of the nurses announced that the clinic was running late. After 1h 45 min of waiting I complained but was told that I was 'harassing' the staff. I said that I would make a formal complaint and am going to bring it up with our local MP. It is really high time when people should stop being treated as cattle. In the end, I did not even get to see the doctor who operated on me. In fact, I only saw him once several month before the operation. Another issue. During our wait we had to use the nearest toilet situated in the A&E department. It was absolutely filthy. My son said 'Mammy, it is the worst toilet I have ever used'
