"I did not have a good experience at the Northern or the Hallamshire"

I had the same incident at the Northern General Hospital and Royal Hallamshire Hospital. I did not have a good experience.

Administration matters need to greatly improve. I was waiting half an hour to go to theatre whilst theatre was waiting the same half an hour for me to be taken to them. This was all due to paperwork and procedures. Clerical errors experienced by me, my close family and friends in the recent past is frightening!

Doctor aftercare seemed non-existent. I don’t know if I have been discharged or signed off. Surgeons did the operation and assumed everything would be ok (mine wasn’t). There should be a follow up consultation to check everything is as it should be and a final discharge made.

There should be some prioritising at the A&E and walk in centre. Someone dripping blood onto the floor should not have to wait in a queue for emergency treatment.
