"I was treated with kindness and smiles"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

My first experience was at the M. A. U.

Rather nervous. I was treated with kindness and smiles of an illusion of being “laid back”. I just needed to allay my nerves.

The delays (hanging about) were due to waiting blood test results and also the scan report, but at least it was all on the one appointment as we live some distance, which was taken into consideration. Next appointment was on time and the Dr was patient and thorough – arranging another appointment which came through quickly and again I was treated promptly and with respect and kindness.

The procedure was shared and explained – cardiogram.

So thank you, Barnstaple, smiles go such a long way!

Dear Patient

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your feedback on the website, and for sharing your experience with us.

On reading your comments I was very pleased to note that the staff on MAU made you feel calmer whilst treating and caring for you, as you were understandably nervous and anxious. I was also pleased to see that your subsequent appointment went very well, and that everything was clearly explained to you.

I have shared your experience with the MAU ward manager, where I know your feedback will be warmly recieved and shared with the ward staff.

Many thanks
