"Full marks for Southend A&E on Bank Holiday weekend"

Yesterday I was cutting back some Hedging and as I pulled it down I felt something shoot into my Eye I tried everything to get it out but nothing helped it was under the surface of the Iris,I headed for Southend A&E dept. with dread, as it was Bank holiday and I was prepared for a long wait and it being short staffed ect.

However when I got there I was met by a lovely Receptionist who took all my details she was so friendly I was put at my ease then I waited in the waiting room for a short time, went through to be interveiwed as to what had happened and an Eye test, then about 15mins later I was seen by a charming Junior Doctor who looked at my Eye and said that he would be able to remove the problem with a needle and that he would have to freeze my Eye first, it stung a bit and the went numb after a bit of probing it came to the surface and he was able to slide it across the surface of my Eye and take it out!

I was so relieved and grateful, all in all I think I was there for about 30mins and I have nothing but praise for the Staff of the Hospital they are wonderful and we all take them for granted too much why do we allow people to knock our NHS when they are doing such a Great job?
