"Midwives at Liverpool Women's are too busy to listen"

About: Liverpool Womens Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I had a stillbirth in march 08 at 37 weeks. I constantly expressed my concerns to the midwife but she just didn't have the time to listen, since the place is like a cattle market.

Even my consultant said the outcome might have been different if my concerns had been followed up.

I had a baby girl in May this year. I had to be induced at 35 weeks because of my obstetric history (placenta was under mature in previous preg, reason for stillbirth). The placenta was to be sent away to pathology but what did the midwife do? Disposed of it down the chute! And when asked to retrieve it, she just made excuses why she couldn't!

In my eyes this hospital is overworked and there are certain midwives who haven't got the time to listen, but the one person I would like to thank is Dr Topping. Without her I wouldn't have my daughter.
