"Broken ankle"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

I broke my ankle on a walk on Sun 28 Dec 2014. I arrived at A & E at approx 5.30pm I was examined by the triage nurse within a few minutes. I then had 2 separate X Rays and 2 consultations with doctors to discuss treatment. My leg was then put in plaster and I was admitted to a ward as an operation was necessary in a day or so when swelling had gone down. At all times The staff were friendly and efficient, at each stage the treatment was explained and I was given every chance to ask questions which were answered very fully. I had excellent treatment and cannot praise the staff highly enough.
