"hospital in general - good. Car parking -..."

About: Pilgrim Hospital

Having had treatment for an accident on tuesday 17/02/15, I was well impressed with the hospital and espically the staff, they were great. On calling to pay for my prescription the following morning, I inserted the carpark ticket into the pay machine, it calculated that I had been there for 9 minutes and charged me £1.40. This is a total rip off, I do not mind a fare charge but this is way over the top.

Thank you for leaving your very positive feedback following your recent trip to Pilgrim which I have shared with staff.

Regarding car parking, as you are aware all NHS trusts have to charge for car parking and compared to other hospitals in the region and we have some of the lowest prices. We do have 20 minute drop off points around the site which would have allowed you time to collect your prescription without being charged. At Pilgrim these are located outside of the main entrance and also main outpatients. We have asked the facilities team to relook at signage for these drop off zones areas to ensure they are clearly visible for patients and visitors.
