"Disappointment"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My last two appointments have been cancelled at the Royal infirmary. I am now being told that I am to be seen at the General in a porta cabin on the car park and if any treatment is required I will be referred back to the Royal. On the letters I received to cancel the appointments, it mentions further appointment will be sent shortly. This has never happened only when I phone repeatedly do I receive an appointment and then it is cancelled.

Dear Andrew, We're really sorry that you feel let down by the service. We make every effort to keep patient appointments but on accasion, we have no choice but to cancel. Please contact General Manager for Ophthalmology, Martin Watts on martin.watts@uhl-tr.nhs.uk or call 0116 258 5929 to discuss why we are moving patients from the Royal to the Newmedica Portacabin at the General.
