"Excellent care despite few staff and pressure on..."

About: Dorset County Hospital

All staff worked well as a team. Food was excellent, when I got some. My condition made me very confused, this was caused me to be unable to complete my menus and I went without food. Staff didn't seem to understand how confused I was. Despite this the staff got me well again, I am aware of how stretched they are. The level of professionalism was excellent. The nurse was especially compassionate and understanding

Thank you for such a positive report of the care you received from our renal team, I will make sure they are aware of your comments. I was saddened to read how you went without food on occasions due to your confusion and that this wasn’t picked up by all the team. Nutrition is a very important part of the healing process and I will also make sure the team were aware of the shortfalls in this area. I am very grateful to you for taking the time to write your review and I was hope you are continuing to make a good recovery. Best wishes, Alison Tong, Director of Nursing, Dorset County Hospital
