"Giles Malone, admission for epileptic fit 14th Feb..."

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

Whilst up from Surrey visiting relatives on the Wirral, at about 21.00 hours our son Giles suffered an epileptic fit which was unexpected and a great shock to us all. The paramedic arrived amazingly quickly in a matter of a few minutes closely followed by the ambulance. Their care, professionalism, concern and attitude in treating Giles was exemplary in every aspect. On arrival at Arrowe Park A&E we were seen very quickly and the nurse and doctor looked after our son in a thorough, caring and efficient manner before being able to discharge him later that night. Please pass on our thanks to all concerned.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. We are extremely grateful that you have taken the time to provide this feedback. Our staff work hard to try to ensure that a patient’s experience whilst at the hospital is as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and they are always considerably heartened and motivated on learning how much their efforts have been appreciated. We have passed your kind sentiments to staff in our Emergency Department. Whilst the paramedics work within Arrowe Park Hospital grounds, we do not run or manage the North West Ambulance Service. We will pass on your comments to their Trust. If we can be of further assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on freephone 0800 432 0251, email wih-tr.pals@nhs.net or in writing to PALS, Arrowe Park Hospital, Arrowe Park Road, Upton, Wirral, CH49 5PE.
