About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

I recently had to have a colonoscopy to check for bowel cancer. The treatment I received was absolutely brilliant. I was seen very quickly by a nurse, who explained everything fully to me without any confusion over what was happening. I was seen and treated and again, all the staff were brilliant throughout the whole process. The nurse went above and beyond what I would expect and nothing was too much for her. She kept me informed at all times and telephoned to me at home to check on my progress. I would like to say a big thank you to all of those involved in my care, especially my nurse.

Thank you for your comment on NHS Choices. We are really pleased that you had such a positive treatment when having your colonoscopy. It is great you thought all our staff that you encountered were “brilliant” – it is fantastic to hear such good feedback. The care the nurse showed, going above and beyond and checking in your progress, with excellent communication is fantastic. We will make sure your comment is passed on to our staff. Yours sincerely, Nadeem Moghal, Medical Director and Flo Panel-Coates, Chief Nurse
