"A good department, but some points need to be..."

About: St Peter's Hospital (Chertsey)

I visited the Arrhythmia clinic today after booking ourselves in, we had no idea where to sit, so sat in waiting room area 2. Thinking that our no would come up on the screen but no. My app was at 2pm but did not get seen till well over an hour later but no reason was given. My wife was with me and she said as she is deaf she would not be able to hear them as they called me from quite a way from where i was sitting. When I was called up they asked me if i wanted to take part in a study, of course i said yes and they said we could have had free parking as my wife drives, but we came on the bus as we have bus passes, but would have been nice to know in advance as my wife finds it difficult to walk. For deaf people and people with bad eyesight would find it difficult to know when they are being called up. Thinking when I came out u rebook the next appointment but no they send you one, no mention of this and it would have been helpful to know. But overall very good patient care.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments here. We're sorry to hear that the experience you had at our hospital was not to the high standard we hope to achieve. Your comments are important to us and we'll take these on board and will look into improving some of the processes to make visits for those with hearing and visual impairments easier.
