About: Lincoln County Hospital

Earlier this year I required a SPECT scan which involved having a small amount of radioactive material to be injected into me. The staff were extremely friendly and informative, explaining the initial procedure and what to expect during the scan. Their evident love for their profession spilled across into how they were with patients, including me. They were very knowledgeable, and used this to great effect with their patient handling skills. The scan, despite lasting several hours on both days went by very smoothly, and there was a radio which could be tuned into whatever station you preferred. Indeed you could bring your own music along to help pass the time. The only criticism I have is that the reporting of the scan by the relevant consultant took several days longer than expected, causing a delay in my own consultant being able to use the results to discuss my outcome with his peers.
