"Brilliant A & E Dept staff"

Had cause to use A & E on 29th January 2015 when I woke up with one half of my face frozen. The process from reception thru to being examined by a consultant was quick & efficient with nurses taking bloods and blood pressure at regular intervals & checking I was aware of my surroundings. I am 61 & they thought it may have been a stroke. After a ct scan, chest x ray, ECG and thorough visual and auditory and sensory tests it was diagnosed as Bells palsy.I was. Given the necessary steroids/cortisteroids for treatment. The staff in this A & E treated me with such respect & despite being under constant bombardment from incoming patients never made me feel anything other than an important patient. As a doctors' daughter of course I hold the medics in high regard but this was my first ever experience of an A & E dept and I am very impressed with Poole hospital & its staff.
