"Recent A&E admission for possible head injury"

Over the years, I have had been admitted into A&E at St George's Hospital on a number of occasions; one admission resulted in me having an operation shortly despite being 'given the all clear' by another A&E in a well-known teaching hospital. The operation was successful but as usual, I was a medical challenge. I have also been a patient at the hospital, via referrals on and off for a good many years. I feel very privileged and blessed that I have been well looked after. On the 28th or 29th January 2015, I fall and skidded down 3 flight of stairs. The next day, I visited an A&E in Central London and was given the all clear. About a week later, I did not feel well. Within 24 hours, the pressure in my head had intensified; I was dizzy, nauseous and unsteady on my feet. I then checked into the A&E at St George's. The doctor carried out various tests; it was performed with great care and completeness. I was kept informed throughout the admission. A nurse took great care of me. She noted I put on my cardigan at a later stage and gave me a blanket. To my surprise, she gave me lunch. When I was ready to be discharged, I thanked the nurse for looking after me. She then asked 'have we taken the line?' A big thank you to the A&E team and the neurologist for looking after me when I was at A&E recently.
