i had a back operation in november 08 my consultants where dr littlechild and dr sanox who i found friendly and was pleased that the operation went ahead i do still have back pain and am unable to sit on soft seats but iam able to walk a little the staff where both friendly pleasant and very clean the neurosurgery ward was like a four star hotel apart from the food which was okay although myself and some of the other lady patients were in hospital we all helped each other and that too lifted our spirits one of the male nurses who was nightshift said you are a jolly lot considering some of the other lady's had brain operations we all could not beleive how nice the staff from the auxillary's nurses doctors consultants the theartre staff every member of staff was truly a gem they could give lessons to the ones who work for the nhs but fail as they dont respect patients i know it works both ways but i can honestly say that the neurosurgery ward in the southern general should win awards for all that they do as they do there job to a high standard and there is no faulting them well done guys keep up the good work
