"An excellent, friendly and caring team"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

I was collected from the Tate Gallery on the evening of February 5th, having passed out and fallen onto the floor. The ambulance team were more than caring and very professional in the way they checked me and then transported me to the Royal Liverpool Hospital. I was welcomed by a very professional and cheerful nurse who immediately attended to me. When the A and E unit very quickly filled up with a queue of patients it was necessary to leave me for a while but all the time during this busy period the staff always checked up on me and kept me informed of what was going on. I was more than grateful for the cup of sugared tea which appeared. Tests were gradually made during the evening and samples taken for analysis. These was carried out by a charming and very capable trainee doctor and eventually the duty consultant came to me with the results. After a number of questions and words of advice I was allowed to leave, much to the relief of my three friends who took me home. I was given comprehensive notes and test results for my GP. Thank you everybody for your very professional and friendly care. Never let me hear anyone complaining about your A and E department, it was excellent.
