I had an appointment in the pain clinic on Saturday 7th February at 4pm. I was called at around 1pm asking if I could get there earlier as they had had a cancellation. I informed them I couldn't as I was registered blind and someone was accompanying me. However we did arrive at 3.15pm to be greeted with " I've been waiting for you, you're my last patients" i feel the receptionist wanted to go home! Having been offended we took a seat in C area only to be then told by a nurse that they were running late due to awkward patients previously!! When I met with the nurse after being shown to a room I was told to take a seat, when I didn't move she said "can't you see them?" I was asked to write on a diagram where my pain was!...it just didn't get any better she asked "my daughter " who was actually my friend if she could do it! I went through the whole questionaire with the nurse to be told "i know I've upset you but I am good at my job"!!! She then took her notes to a doctor and came back to get me. Well he just asked everything she had just asked and proceeded to press very hard around my eye asking if it hurt!!! I was prescribed a small amount of antidepressant used for nerve pain after informing me that he know nothing about eyes!!! Beyond belief I left in tears
