"Paediatric Assessment Unit - Excellent!"

About: Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital

We got transferred to the Paediatric Assessment Unit from our GP as my Daughters temperature was between 40-41 degrees and wouldn't decrease. On arrival we were welcomed straight away by very friendly staff. We only waited about 5 mins in waiting area before we were given an assessment room and assessed straight away. The professionalism, friendliness, manner, knowledge and empathy of all staff including Staff Nurse, Nurse Practioner, HCA and the Doctor on duty was outstanding. They were brilliant with myself and daughter explaining everything and did not let us leave until my daughter had had every test going and they could get to the bottom of the problem. It was my first visit to the unit and I thought it was brilliant with great facilities for children and so clean too. They really looked after my Daughter (& myself as the anxious mother!) so well. Really hope we don't have to return there again (for obvious reasons!! Want my daughter to remain fit and well :-) ) but if we did have to return there I would have every confidence in them and the service they provide. Thank you so much to all of the team at PAU!

Hello, thank you so much for sharing this review, we always appreciate hearing from patients who have had a good experience with us at what is usually a very stressful time. Your comments have been shared with the relevant managers and teams, who will really appreciate your kind words. Many thanks, Sarah Mainprize
