"no prblems"

About: Tameside General Hospital

I visited a&e on Friday 30th January at 8 15. Seen by triage nurse within 5 mins sent straight to x Ray seen straight away and told I had broken ankle. Wheeled back to reception then seen by doctor and plastered within half an hour. The longest wait was for a porter to take me to physio for crutches. The staff were great and explained everything and kept me at ease. Whilst waiting in New south heartshead reception for my partner, the staff kept an eye on me , one went for a drink for me and kept checking on me because at that point I was starting to feel unwell. the staff are great in my opinion despite being busy and deserve more credit

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience whilst a patient in the A&E department. It is nice to receive compliments such as this and I will make sure that your response is circulated to all the staff through our governance process. I hope that you now fully mobile again.

’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved? Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at
