"Visit to A&E last night"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

The A&E department is filthy, I saw a Dr in treatment room 2 and the seat was so dirty that my husband refused to sit on it. The floor had blood and used dressings on it. The dust and dirt on the floor was clearly visible. The trolley was given a clean sheet but not washed prior to me using it. I waited over 3hrs in a quiet waiting room to see a Dr. Elderly patient was left unsupervised with a head injury. No privacy at reception area and no update on treatment time. I felt rushed by the doctor who was seeing to me and he showed a lack of compassion or interest.
