I have been a patient at the haematology clinic at Kingston hospital since I was diagnosed with an atrial flutter 2 years ago. In that time I had a consultation with a cardiac consultant and it was decided that a catheter ablation was my best way forward. As a result of this I started taking warferin and attended the clinic for advice and directions of how , when and why this was necessary. This advice was given in a friendly, helpful and professional manber by both members of staff who work there. Throughout the times I attended the clinic for initially regular blood tests to monitor INR, they were on hand to help, support and encourage me. I have read complaints of poor seating arrangements and other trifling issues. Surely the main point of this clinic is to deliver the best service possible with the funds and facilities available. This is the NHS after all not private medicine. I think they do a brilliant job,as do their team leader and consultant, given the tools and funding available.
