I was sent to A&E by my GP on the evening of 23 January. I was attended to after only approximately an hour, and all the medical staff I saw introduced themselves, were courteous, professional and gave me a lot of time while I was having various tests for pneumonia. Luckily, a bed became available in Ward 10 later that evening and I wholeheartedly agree with the comments recently left about that Ward. From the medical to auxiliary staff, tea ladies and porters, they were all superb. The level of care and kindness shown to me personally and to the other patients in my room was outstanding, with good humour thrown in which really cheered me up. They work incredibly hard and are a credit to the NHS. I am very grateful to them all.
