"Broken shoulder"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was on holiday in Portugal cycling when my front tyre got caught in a rail track and threw me off resulting in an ambulance being called and an operation to have pins put in my shoulder. When I came home my GP organised an appointment at the Fracture Clinic within one week, X-Rays were taken and I was seen by a Registrar.

Physiotherapy was organised for the following week. I couldn't have had better treatment. All the staff were courteous and helpful. Really impressed with East Surrey Hospital.

Dear Retiree

I'm sorry to hear that you had an accident on your Portugese cycling trip but good to read that when you returned home you felt so well looked after by the team in the fracture clinic, x-ray and physiotherapy here at East Surrey Hospital.

I hope you're well on the way to being able to get back on your bike.

Regards

Ian
