"Still waiting"

About: Glenfield Hospital

My husband is currently on Ward 34 waiting to have his aertoic valve replaced. He was admitted on 31st January 2015 from Kettering General , where he had been waiting for a week for a bed to become available at Glenfield hospital. After having numerous tests it was decided that he also would require a C.T scan to provide further information prior to him having surgery . He has now been waiting for 3 days for the scan! He keeps being told that he's 'on the list' but nothing seems to be happening . I find it extremely fustrating that there appears to be no end in sight for my hisband and myself to this situation .

Dear reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We are really sorry to hear that your husband has had to wait so long for a CT scan. Staff on ward 34 should have explained to you the reasons for any delays in your husband’s treatment. If your concerns have not yet been addressed and if your husband is still waiting for a scan, please contact Lorraine Bertram-Dickens on lorraine.bertram-dickens@uhl-tr.nhs.uk, who will be able to look into this and help you. Your feedback is important to us and will help to improve our service for future patients. Kind regards, Communications team, Leicester’s Hospitals
