"General anaesthetic and stitches for child"

Referral from Bracknell urgent care unit was excellent. The nurse practitioner was very efficient and professional, though we waited a bit to see him. Sent to paediatric A&E. Short wait to see ENT doctor. She arranged for us to see ENT registrar, bit of a wait for that but bearable. ENT registrar was excellent. Very professional and he listened, was considerate and genuinely reassuring and levelled with us well. Bit of a wait to be transferred to children's ward but understand this was because they needed to line up an anaesthetist and a surgeon. Fair enough. Children's Ward nurses were great, esp. our Nurse! Anaesthetist was great. He was professional and answered my questions. Dr, anaesthetist, and surgical team, were great. Registrar came back to the ward afterwards, to see us - so considerate and very professional of him. Very much appreciated his feedback, as he was obviously due to go home! The Recovery nurses were fantastic! So hardworking and so friendly! A long day, with a very tired child but as these things go, it was a success - a lot of what happened today was down to the intrinsic goodness of these individual human beings - they were professional, calm, conscientious, clearly experts in their fields, respectful and great communicators.
