"I feel very positive after speaking to her"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Medicine (Wards 5 & 8)

(as the patient),

Fiona was very nice and was the first person I had spoken to since my diagnosis who actually understood what I was going through. It was as if she already knew me, because she understood so well the problems of suffering chronic pain and fatigue.

I feel very positive after speaking to her.

Dear teslamoose,

Thank you for your positive feedback about your recent experience of Occupational Therapy. I will ensure that Fiona receives your post.

I am delighted that you feel that Fiona genuinely listened to your concerns, and that she had the knowledge and specialist experience to help you deal with the symptoms of chronic pain and fatigue. It is important to occupational therapists that we fully understand what impact your condition has on your ability to engage in every aspect of your lifestyle, and I'm sure your post will help others who may be anxious or concerned about a referral to Occupational Therapy.

I am really pleased that you found your recent treatment helpful, and that you now feel much more positive about the future. I hope that you continue to make further progress.

With best wishes

Janice
