"Cancelled operation x 5"

About: Derriford Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was told I needed a hysterectomy in July 2014 and would be put on the urgent list. I was given a date in September only to be told "no beds". Since then, it has been cancelled 5 times now, with no idea when it will happen. Don't they care about people, not only myself, but every one in our family? So come on and get all the stress off me and my family.

Good afternoon,

I am so sorry to hear that you have had your procedure cancelled on five occasions.

Having liaised with the Service Line Manager about your concerns, I was advised that you do have a new date for your surgery.

She would like me to express her sincere apologises and would like me to reassure you that they will do their best to maintain your date of surgery.

Thank you for your response I am due to go in on the 24 Feb so I am keeping everything crossed and so is my family. I will let this website know the outcome
