"Fast and efficient"

My husband was referred by our local GP for a Sigmoidoscopy at the fast track clinic, Scunthorpe General, because of rectal bleeding. Internal haemhorroids were found so it was decided he would be sent for a Colonoscopy for further investigation to check that there was no other reasons for the bleed.

Within a day of the first procedure he received a phone call at home to say that he was to attend the Endoscopy Clinic for the Colonoscopy which was to be in 5 days.. Because it was a weekend and no post the Detox mixture to be used 24 hours prior to the procedure was delivered to him at home in Crowle, by a member of the staff from the Endoscopy Department.

Luckily the outcome/results were positive. Positive too was the way everything went so smoothly. Can't praise the referral and all departments and staff involved enough. Wonderful prompt NHS Service. Thank you.
