"Hazards"

As Derriford hospital now has the eye hospital within its building, I think they need to look at the approach to the front doors for poorly sighted people. My father is registered blind and would probably fall over the big concrete planters that are dotted around out the front if I didn't guide him. They have no colour on them whatsoever, are very low and very difficult to see if you have sight problems. Apart from that, I find it appalling that the new 'eye hospital' which covers a very large area indeed, is so small and poorly staffed. In an emergency a couple of Saturdays ago, there was only one doctor on shift which was totally inadequate. Any medical establishment should operate 24/7 on an even basis, there is no place for 'weekends'.
