"Operation abandoned"

About: Southmead Hospital

I was due a spinal fusion op on 30th December 2014, and was put on bridging therapy of clexane injections for 6 days prior to operation as I have a blood disorder and am on lifetime warfarin, then the day before my op I was told it was cancelled so was prescribed more clexane injections to do at home until my new operation date 6th January 2015. Arrived at Gate 20 was admitted to ward, dressed for op etc. then 5 minutes before op, I was told that it had been abandoned again as I had not had a ivc filter fitted and it would be to dangerous to continue without this. The Management came to see me, promised they would arrange a new operation date to have filter fitted + operation, I was given more clexane injections, discharged, sent home and have heard nothing since then. So instead of 6 days on injections I have been 36 days! And I'm still waiting to hear despite my phone calls and leaving messages on answer phones have been forgotten about, and still have a cyst on my spine, it's absolutely shocking! I have appointment with doctor today to get back on warfarin asap, until somebody at the hospital notices that I have not been seen to. Very distressed.
