About: Royal Oldham Hospital

I was induced on 27/01/15 the midwifes on antenatal ward are all brilliant and they was very informative and I can't thank them enough also on the very brief time I had on the labour ward as I went into labour very quickly and quite traumatic both for me and my daughter but all the midwifes were fantastic and if it wasn't for there quick actions we could of both been ill or could of lost my baby however the postnatal ward was a different kettle of fish we went on the ward no one came to see us check if we was ok I was told we might go home that day but there was no notes or records on us we got left there all day and no signs of any midwifes anywhere we got out that night at 9 o clock and had to get the community midwife to conduct the newborn tests on the baby its a shocking set up and is badly managed and understaffed for such an important ward my daughter didn't even get tagged with an alarm like normal not a good ward

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comment regarding your visit to the Maternity Unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital. We are pleased you were happy with the service on the antenatal ward but sorry to read you did not feel the same way about the post natal ward. We will forward the comments to the ward managers to share with the rest of the team and address your concern.
